Description
You will be asking yourself questions as we listen to the songs, interpret the lyrics, and discuss what was happening at the time. These questions will be shared with your classmates and myself to form the basis of your research to answer the questions for your research papers.
Essay guidelines
You must do the following for each essay:
o Develop a question and begin researching your answer
➢ Have resources from at least 3 different fields – sociology, psychology, history, etc.
➢ Have at least 3 primary sources with 2 secondary sources in support of each for a total of 9 sources
➢ Have video – popular and independent, print – peer reviewed, popular press, and underground press
➢ You will need to copy the link for the 3 primary sources and attach a one-page summary of each article
➢ You will need to compile an annotated bibliography of the 6 secondary sources
➢ You will then synthesize the answer to your question through your research by writing a 3-4-page paper
➢ You must ask a peer to review your paper/work
➢ You must complete a self-review of your paper/work
➢ You must include your comments and questions from in-class work for the songs
➢ You must put all of the above into a folder to turn in
➢ Use APA style when writing your paper, citing your sources, and compiling your bibliography
➢ Use 12-point font, double spaced with 1” margins
