We have discussed two main metaphysical theories in this unit: Plato’s idealism and Aristotle’s materialism. In a paper, explain which of the two positions you side most closely with. To do this, you will give an account of both theories (what they mean) and then offer reasons why one theory is preferable over the other. (You may draw on summaries and study aids to help you make sense of the readings, but do not explore other philosophers’ ideas).
