Description
Explore the performing artist as primary rhetor, but you may also need to explain how the songwriters, producers, and video directors need to be considered significant rhetors as well. A significant portion of this paper should focus on the purpose and argument the video makes. Be sure to analyze specific lyrics, cinematography, or musicality as evidence to show how the rhetor is making an argument about a social issue. While we aren’t analyzing entire albums for this project, it may be appropriate to talk about how other songs on the album impact the song’s message. Your reader should come away with a better understanding of how the social issue presented in the song impacts our lives or understanding of the world. Requirements:
Analyze the rhetorical situation of a “official” music video (no fan videos or performances).
