Description
Write an essay on on the following topic:
Compare and contrast the creation of a modern, Europeanized city in Modern Greek Athens and Ottoman Constantinople/Istanbul
Essay guidelines (see also rubric)
The essay should be 1,500 words long, double-spaced and in Microsoft word format.
You should include at least four references to at least three scholarly works and mention at least four facts that back your argument.
(N.B. Wikipedia, encyclopedias, and internet sites do not count as scholarly works and should be avoided at all costs)
Proofread your paper at least twice after you have finished writing it. For a paper to have the highest grade, it must contain no grammatical errors.
Your paper should include:
The essay title
Introduction
Clearly identifiable thesis that states the main argument of your paper
Well-structured paragraphs (each with a topic sentence and transitions) each developing a single point
Conclusion summarizing your discussion and suggesting a possible direction for further investigation
