Salt’s Feminism and Enlightened Sexism

The images of women in the media have led to the hyper-feminist of the female action heroes that reflect the competing influences of the popular media. The feminism is the sum of the ideologies or movement for social rights, economic, equal political positioning for roles definition. This ideology has led to the increased competition for women in the political and social aspects. This paper will aim at agreeing with the argument of the hyper-feminist of the female action images that have led to the increased competition of the popular media. This aspect can be shown in many scenes in the Salt movie, (Susan, 218). The Salt movie expresses the lady character as a Russian sleeper agent. This action role was supposed to be played by tom cruise.  The gender and the code for viewing women changed the privileges of the cultures and the priority of the gender aspects. The increased imagery by the media of women has led to increased influences of the socio-political aspect of the occurrence of the movie. The imagery of the women as having sexist intent in the inward but having a feminist outlook will help in the analysis of the requirements of the individual. The sexism aspect is shown in the initiation of the movie where Salt starts the play when she is tortured wearing panties and bra. The presence that her blond locks being stained with blood indicated an image that the ladies were strong. This strong aspect is not portrayed in the husband bringing about completion for roles. These aspects were regarded by Susan Douglas as the issues that were affecting the socio-political power in the society with respect to Salt Movie.

The first aspect is the portrayal of the women as individuals who will have to compete over men. Salt character is seen to use war tactics in order to stop the deployment of the bomb. The increase portrayal of the rush and running against the men and increased war with the male counterparts leads to the socio political competition of the women in the present future. According to Susan Douglas, the women should tack back to the media representation of the bad standings for the individuals, (Susan, 152). The portrayal of the women as being individuals that can defend themselves in the Salt character was seen to cause the overall increase of hostility towards the character. The portrayal of the completion of roles for Salt was a compelling perspective. The husband to salt was seen to rescue the wife from the war prison while it could be the lady who should be on the other side asking for the release of the husband. The perfect figure of the Salt character and war tactics expressed the political competition of the ladies that they will opt to defend any item that they have feeling for as an item. The Media or movie is seen to portray the overall aspect of the women being able to defend their families and country instead of the women, (Susan, 152). Susan presents this reversal as the issues that have led to the increase of violence and mistreatment of the poor women. The exchange of roles for caring and protection provision in the movie has led to the increased destruction of the female and male roles in the providence of actions.

The second aspect that the media presents is the illustration of the women as obsessed and overly emotional with relationships. The Salt character is expressed as feeling threatened once the husband is kept at threat. The character goes to great stride to protect her husband from any form of harm, (Susan, 175). This forces her to escape far away from the area where she could endanger her husband. The KA agent who was a male was able to out maneuver the CIA agents within the shortest time period. Salt was seen to have difficulty from running away from the agents while the other KA agent had already left the building. This imagery indicated the illustration of the women as being weak and that the men could have strength over them. The image illustrates that the women will be required to fight their way out of the status quo. According to Susan Douglas the media portrays the women as individuals who will not be beautiful enough.  This was expressed by the use of Angelina Jolie in order to alleviate the overall generalization of the movie to be a male movie. This aspect had led to the overall increase of the demand for competition between the societal individuals of the female gender.

The other aspect is where the women by the media are expressed as individuals who can be bitches that will back bite on any plan and should not be trusted due to their emotional attachment. According to Susan Douglas the portrayal of the women as being the individuals are back biters leads to the overall increase of the socio political roles, (Susan, 172). The women imagery of the movies will lead to the deprived trust from the job leaders or employers in the areas of planning or job employment, (Susan, 208). This has led to the increased deprival of the women’s opportunities. This has affected the women overall economic potentials. The Salt character was seen to come against the KA agents that she had trained with at her tender age. The other scenario is where salt character goes against the oath that she had undertaken to serve and protect the country of USA as an agent. This betrayal imagery brings the aspect of the social competition for trust and belief for the ladies, (Susan, 206). The increased portrayal of the women with regard to their sexual perspective was portrayed as the only thing that women could offer. The increase of the struggle against the notion of the women being only sexy and not sexual could help in the change of the activities of the Social institutions.

In brief, Susan Douglas argument is valid. The issues of enlightened sexism and embedded feminism have been portrayed by the media and have led to increased awareness of the relation of the women to their counterparts in the society, Douglas, (2012). The portrayal of the women as individuals who will have to compete over men is portrayed by the increase fight of Salt to clear her name and destabilize winter who is a male. The media presents are the illustration of the women as obsessed and overly emotional with relationships. Salt ran away from her husband in order safeguard him from the occurrences that she would get involved. The women by the media are expressed as individuals who can be bitches that will back bite on any plan and should not be trusted due to their emotional attachment, (Susan, 201). These issues lead to the increased imagery of competition for power, control of economical, political and social aspects. The hyper feminist of the female action heroes has affected the personnel’s overall roles fulfillment in the society.

The starring of Tom cruise instead of Angelina Jolie would have led to the action generalization of the movie. The gender reassignment and the increased moral ambiguity led to the increased improvement of the movie rating. There were a number of issues that Jolie was presenting to the movie but Tom cruise was not able to present. The actor was seen not to be flexible, (Susan, 106). The presence that one is not able to show up for practice or briefing would have affected the movie. Tom Cruise was occupied by a lot of issues. The gender reassignment of the movie to Angelina Jolie allowed the overall search for the best acting qualification. The rehearsal schedule of every cast required the presentation of a character that was smooth, uncertain and treacherous. The past presentation of Tom Cruise movies were seen to present different perspectives of the actor being rough and wealth to act the movie Douglas, (2012). These aspects could have led to the overall generalization of the movie to be another talk of cruise expertise in acting an action movie. The pickup of the gender reassignment of the movie allowed the overall focus on the action aspects of the director. The choice of the lady allowed improving the overall aspects of service delivery.

The use of Jolie meant the presentation of a character as being a damsel in distress, ass kicker, victim and warrior and increased efficient merging of subjects. The choice of Jolie led to the presentation of the aspect of an ambiguity of villain or a hero. The use of Cruise would have led to the overall generalization of Tom Cruise as being the hero and not a villain, (Susan, 156). The Choice of Cruise could have destroyed the superstition aspect that Jolie was able to present in the movie. The CIA outpost accusing for treason could have led the automatic identification by the audience that treason for salt colleagues. The director is seen to choose to raise the psychological gravitas to the ambiguity aspect by restraining the moral compass identification for the formation of the protagonist’s true allegiance. The persona of Jolie was the item that helped the choice of her in the movie. The binary aspect off where the star could either increase her feminism awareness by the overall presentation of the strength even though she is a child. According to Douglas the presentation of the sexuality aspect presented by Jolie perfect appeal to the means position was seen to allow the increase of the behavior of the individual, (Susan, 198). Cruise could have been seen to be affected by the overall increase of the girl’s power. The use of the male power would have not expressed the feminism perspective of power control. The sexism enlightens could not have been expressed in the film.

In conclusion, Salt’s Feminism and Enlightened Sexism affect women on adverse scales of their social, economic and political life. The choice of Jolie to act Salt presented a chance to show case the feminism and enlightens sexism perspective, (Susan, 200). The rhetoric aspect of girl power imagery has led to the increased biases of the women’s lives. Douglas presented that the presentation that women cannot be trusted. This has affected the political aspect of the society. This has been evident in the election of women representative in legal esteemed standings. The aspect of women being back biters has led to the increased destructs for the women in the work place and in the overall society. This has led to the economic disparity of the women in the provision of the expected growth or advancement to the firm’s ranks. The portrayal of girl power has led to the formation of a glass ceiling in the work places. According Douglas, it has led to the increased income disparity between the men and the women, Susan, 156. The increased portrayal of the women sexism has led to the increased realization of the female erotic desires. The girl power is seen to present that the indication that women require sexual relations in order to resolve a dispute. This ideology of the women sexual perspective has led to increased cases of sexual violence. The portrayal of the girl power wanting control over men in the media has led to the increased frustration of the success avenues for women, Douglas, (2012). This has led to the decrease of the female development in the corporate world has been presented by the overall aspects that the media action films have presented.
