You will research alternative settings for inpatient mental health treatment for people who experience significant mental health symptoms. In this paper you will pick one practice, preferably evidence based or a promising practice, to research the theory and the availability in the community. The practice/.evidence based theory needs to be available in my community too. Please write on the topic of Depression and thoughts of Suicide in the Elder/Old population, why they have these symptoms, what treatment options they have made available to them, choose one evidence practice that specializes in depression and thoughts of suicide for this population.

You will research alternative settings for inpatient mental health treatment for people who experience significant mental health symptoms. In this paper you will pick one practice, preferably evidence based or a promising practice, to research the theory and the availability in the community.
You will create a research paper that:
-Shows exceptional sophistication in integrating knowledge of the home based and/or intense outpatient (IOP) services that assist people to be in the least restrictive environment for them
– Communicates an informed and current understanding of the resources in the local community that provide home based and/or IOP services to be in the least restrictive environment.
– Demonstrates substantial knowledge of the selected practice and its impact on the person’s environment
– Demonstrates substantial knowledge of the current interventions of this practice for the people being treated in a home based or IOP setting
– Successfully demonstrates knowledge of the case manager’s role working in a home based or IOP setting
PRESENTATION
You will complete a presentation (Prezi or PowerPoint) that details the information in the above paper.
Your presentation will be 10- 15-minute in length
